Telephone Advisory Service for foreign residents

The Chiba Convention Bureau and International Center operates the Telephone Advisory Service, to help foreign residents living within Chiba Prefecture solve problems related to language, customs, the social system, and culture of Japan. The service will answer questions, which may come up in daily life on medical treatment, education, alien registration, and so on.

Japanese language classes


The Tateyama community center is currently hosting a Japanese language converstation class. Targeted at foreigners living in Tateyama, its primary goal is to aid participants in obtaining a stronger grasp of the language. All local foreign residents are encouraged to participate, regardless of level (there are participants from beginner level to those studying for the N1 Japanese Language Proficiency Test).
